Nigeria boasts both the largest economy and population in Africa, however, only an estimated 33% of its population use the internet. The country’s Broadband Plan 2013-2018 aims to increase broadband penetration five-fold within the next five years. This case study looks at how Nigeria might achieve this ambitious goal, exploring both existing barriers to and opportunities for making broadband affordable and bringing more of the country online.
