To enhance the promotion of NV&PG, the Government developed Sessional Paper No. 8 of 2013 on National Values and Principles of Governance, which was operationalized in late 2015. The policy pillars that guide the operationalization of NV&PG are: (i) Creation of a strong national identity; (ii) Effective representation and leadership; (iii) Equitable allocation of resources and opportunities; (iv) Good governance; and (v) Promotion of sustainable development.
