Enablers: Prices went down, and Kenya has today one of the most compet- itive Internet sectors in East Africa. Trends: Today Kenya, with its 48 million inhabitants, has 43 million Internet users, a penetration of nearly 90%, as of June 2017. Six millions of those are on Facebook, a penetration of 13%. Africa as a whole has a penetration rate of 31%, compared to 51.7% in the world.
